Ady (曾嘉)
Founder&Artistic Director Miss Ady started to dance at a very young age back in her hometown Chengdu, China. She completed her bachelor's degree in Dance Education at Beijing Dance Academy and her master degree in Art Education and Management at Beijing University. She is a certified adjudicator from The Department of Culture China. Before coming to the USA, she spent 15 years teaching in Beijing Dance Academy and accrediting various dancing education programs and dancers around China. In 2014, Miss Ady moved to the USA to seek further career development and founded Ady Art Center at Livingston NJ the following year to service the community with high quality of dance education. She has been an active member of Associated Dance Teacher of New Jersey ever since. From 2017 to 2025, she and her professional staff led Ady Art Center dance teams to compete in different categories at various dance competition venues with outstanding results. Among them, contemporary group dance "Better Place" and "Look To You" received regional first place, contemporary Teen group dance "Mural" received the best choreography prize, ballet group dance fusion with Chinese classic "Delight In Waves" received first place at Legacy National competition. In lieu of their accomplishments, Miss Ady and All Ady Art Center staff are looking forward to more achievement for years to come with great team work and passion for the performing arts. To offer more opportunities to Ady Art Center dancers, In 2024, Ady Art Center brought on two collaborators Amanda Edore and Kierstyn Edore to create The Ady Project, a preprofessional teen company for dancers aged 12-18 years old at the studio. The company's mission is to help students flourish in dance outside of the competition experience alone, offering dancers opportunities to work with professional guest artists in the field as well as giving them exposure to college/post-college events and performance opportunities within their community. |
