Ruoyi He
Ballet Instructor Ruoyi He started training professionally at the Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China. She later trained at the Joffrey Ballet School where she studied under Stacy Caddell, Akop Akopian, and Era Jouravlev where she also performed works choreographed by George Balanchine, Earl Mosely and Akop Akopian. Ruoyi was invited to be a guest artist for the Brighton Ballet Theater’s production of The Nutcracker in 2017, where she performed soloist roles as the Dewdrop Fairy, the Snow Queen, and the Chinese Girl. She received additional training from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy of Moscow as well as scholarships to summer programs such as the English National Ballet School and the Juilliard School. She joined the Nashville Ballet in 2018, where she performed multiple full-length ballets choreographed by Paul Vasterling, such as Swan Lake, the Nutcracker, and Romeo and Juliet. During her three seasons there, she also performed leading roles in works choreographed by Gina Patterson, Annabella Lopez Ochoa, and Charlotte Boye-Christensen. Ruoyi was a part-time faculty for the School of Nashville Ballet while dancing professionally. She received the American Ballet Theater NTC Teacher Certification for Pre-Primary — Level 3 and is now teaching at studios and schools in New Jersey and New York City. Ruoyi is pursuing an academic career at Montclair State University for a BFA in dance, where she performed works choreographed by Jessie Dimaurio, Bradley Shelver, and Cameron McKinney. |
