As a professional dancer Kathy has traveled the United States, Caribbean, and Europe. Her performing experience includes Ballet Hispanico of New York, Buffalo Ballet Theater, Miami Momentum Modern Dance Company, Chautauqua Festival Ballet Company where she was also on the faculty. She has experience in Musical Theater as both performer, choreographer and direction. Her experience in the world of Theater expands to event management, casting, costuming, music editing, and production.
Kathy is proficient in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary. She has studied many dance forms including Hip Hop, African, Irish, Indian, Salsa, Flamenco, Modern (Graham, Lewinsky, Tharp, Dunham and Horton techniques). Kathy is also a certified Zumba Teacher. She had taught Zumba fitness classes at JCC Metrowest in West Orange and Horizon Blue Cross in Newark.
Kathy's educational background includes a Modern dance intensive with the American Dance Festival at Duke University as well as a BS in Communications from Florida International University where she was a dance minor and active on the dance team.
After years of working as a dancer and choreographer for Chezzam Entertainment, she founded her own company; Pucci Productions, producing entertainment for Corporate and Industrial events including IBM, the US Open, and in-house contracts with several Casinos in Atlantic City, NJ.
Kathy has taught children of all ages for over 20 years and has worked as an adjudicator for dance and theater competitions in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. She has been on the faculty at the University of Miami, Chautauqua Institution, and Broadway Dance Center.
Kathy currently is the Coach for Joseph Kushner Academy High School Dance Team in Livingston, NJ (having taken the team to a 1st place victory in December of 2016 and placed in the top 3 since). She is a member of Dance NJ and the Associated Dance Teachers of NJ.
Kathy is passionate about children and education. She is thrilled to be a part of the Ady Art Center faculty.
