Marissa Rago
Vocal Instructor The performing arts have been an integral part of Marissa’s life for as long as she can remember. She first stepped onto a stage at age 5 and had her first major film role as “pepper” in Disney’s Annie at age 10. Marissa studied voice & musical theater at both Westminster Choir College and Princeton and Wagner College in NY. In addition to performing, Marissa has developed her own music company and is currently working as a professional recording artist & singer/songwriter; writing in varied genres such as pop, country, musical theatre, Disney and R&B. When she is not creating music, Marissa finds immense joy in teaching private voice lessons to artists of all ages. She has been teaching for over seven years and focuses on proper vocal technique, music theory, breath control, stamina, and most importantly, building CONFIDENCE. Having started in the industry at such a young age, Marissa understands the demands and pressures that can be placed upon young artists and the struggles that come with learning to love the sound of your own voice! Marissa’s teaching philosophy is to create a safe space for artists of all ages to grow and thrive, while helping them to find their own beautiful voice. |
