Cheryl is an RYT200+ yoga instructor with a passion for teaching vinyasa, pranayama, and yin. Cheryl discovered yoga years ago and embraced it because of its ability to heal and facilitate growth in her. Yoga completely changed her life and how she showed up in it. The power of her own healing sparked her curiosity about the inner workings of yoga. In 2017, she began coursework at Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. This work is used during private sessions and addresses difficult life transitions. The therapeutic aspects of yoga resonates deeply with Cheryl.
Cheryl completed an RYT200 program at Onyx Studio in June 2018. She also studied ancient yogic philosophies and vinyasa privately with her teacher. Cheryl creates dynamic flows while weaving the philosophies into the class. Her warmth and compassionate style supports students as she guides them safely using alignment principles. Classes also include; centering, meditation, pranayama, and asana to link breath with movement. In 2018, Cheryl also completed 30 hours of yin yoga training with Three Birds Yoga and is passionate about teaching yin yoga to help students notice changes from the inside out.
Her hope is for students to connect to their own inner wisdom and to live from that state. For Cheryl, yoga is not only about flexibility of bodies but more about discovering what lies within our own hearts and souls.
Cheryl is a mother of two children and resides in northern New Jersey. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and singing.
