Piano & Music Theory Teacher
Clarinda Lin graduated from Montclair State University in Bachelor degree studying music composition and piano. She studied piano with Dr. Joanna Polk, Dr. Magdalena Baczewska, and Dr. Mark Pakman. And she studied music composition with Dr. Ting Ho, Dr. Scott Richards, and Dr. Elisabeth Brown. Her three chorale pieces: “Peace is like a calm flowing river”, “Ubi Caritas”, and “Sense”, shortlisted her in the chorale competition of MSU from 2013 to 2015. “Ubi Caritas” also won the third place in the competition. She was also the winner of the College Division Grand Prize Winner of PICTURES Composition Contest held by New Jersey Art Collective consecutively from 2016-2017, by the works of “A False Note” and “Sound Suite” respectively. She graduated winning “Outstanding Undergraduate Composer Award” from the Montclair State University in 2017.
