David Wei Dai

Violin and Viola Instructor

​David focuses on both virtuosity and musicality with rich experience and enthusiasm. Offering instruction for beginning through advanced students in violin and viola. He has been teaching in Melody Music School of New York,  Chinese Violin Forum Music School of Shanghai, Suzhou Youth Center of Suzhou and  Shanghai Conservatory of Music preparatory center. David is attending  Montclair State University for Master of Music in Theory and Composition and Master of Art in Violin.  He holds Artist Diploma in Violin from Montclair State University and Bachelor of Art in Violin from Shanghai Conservatory of Music.  David has been the recipient of the many career awards such as Outstanding Graduate Performance Award from Montclair State University; Outstanding Teacher of the Shanghai Youth Violin competition; First Prize of Chamber music competition; Huangshan International Music Festival Outstanding New Violinist; National Youth Violin Competition Bronze medal  in Shanghai Youth Violin Competition etc.
